Genesis 41 of the Bible tells us about the interpretation that Joseph made about a dream that had the Pharaoh of Egypt, something that caused him great anguish, to such a point of resorting to the patriarch to find an explanation. The transcript of the text will serve as a description:"...of the river there were seven cows of thick flesh and beautiful appearance, that were in the meadow, and that seven other cows had after them, flakes and very ugly aspect; so extenuated, that I did not see other likeness in fealty throughout the land of Egypt. And the flakes and feases devoured the first seven fat cows; and they entered into their bowels, but it was not known that they had entered, because the appearance of the flakes was still bad, as in the beginning."Something similar occurred with another later dream, except that in this case instead of cows were wheat spikes:"...seven spikes grew in the same cane, full and beautiful. And that seven other spikes menud, marched, beaten from the wind, grew after them; and the spikes menud devour the seven beautiful spikes. ”The interpretation that Joseph told the reports pointed out that each cow or spike represented cycles, which later with time, popular knowledge associated that each corresponded to a calendar year, that the fat and beautiful cows “appearance” were related to moments of accumulation of resources and wealth, that the spikes with the possibilities of relying on abundant food, while the flakes and the spikes menud corresponded to periods of difficulty in generating resources, wealth and provision of enough food.According to the scriptures Pharaoh understood the message. At the time of such dreams, the empire crossed through a cycle of bonancy, consequently, decided to protect part of production and wealth for possible moments of scarcity and difficulty, situations that, according to the Bible, occurred later and that thanks to the actions undertaken could draw with some advantage. This story offers several messages. On the one hand, the savings and resource care to use them when they are needed, so that they can enjoy when they flow and use them when they spread. On the other hand, despite doing what you do, since a cycle of scarcity has begun, you must expect it to happen and administer the accumulated resources austerely to reach as long as possible. These two messages can be summarized that when we are in the good, we keep something for doubts and that in the bad, sometimes much of what we do can hardly change the situation. The background message seems to be that The cycles are inevitable and the best way to face them is with the understanding that both are passengers, those of expansion and those of merma. To do this, save and manage without despair. However, there is a concept that is expressed through the use of the word “appearance” that is revealing and at the same time stimulating, as it serves as a guide to guide our forces in each cycle. To a greater or lesser extent, the world, nations, companies and people go through cycles in which we can accumulate reserves and others in which we must actually consume them.If we relate each of the moments of expansion or retraction and follow the course of each cycle, without resistance, accepting that they are passengers and circumstantial, we can find opportunities that each of them.Obviously, when resources flow, livestock and crops are strong, that is, when we have work or business generate good yields, logic indicates that we must take advantage of the wind in favor of working more hours, undertake projects or take more risks, always with the goal of keeping something, by doubts.Taking long vacations, closing the business sooner or even allocating more time than usual for domestic issues will reduce our chances to make the most of the opportunity the cycle proposes.Instead, when the cows are flakes, as the scriptures dictate, as much effort we make to feed the fat cows of the past, the flakes will continue to be weak and menued. These are times when additional efforts are lacking compensation, in which the cost-benefit ratio is negative, that is, the more we produce or work the more we lose.Situations like these are, unfortunately, usual in our country. The moments of stagnation and depression in economic activity can serve as an opportunity for those who have sufficient economies to guide their daily activities to the family, spacing and empowerment.Stopping the wheel means seeing out our own life and can serve to balance between work, spacing and acquiring knowledge. It is clear that in most cases it is very difficult or impossible to stop working according to what results in general or personal cycles, however, what intends this interpretation is to put on the table the idea that often things go in a sense despite what we do and that it is best to follow the movement with the understanding that life invites us to put focus on other things, perhaps more important than work and money, as are our families, friends, knowledge, skills or even ourselves.Argentina invites us a lot if we should undertake, work harder or do overtime, are these times when we should do very well the accounts and find out if we are faced with the opportunity to enjoy more rest and empowerment than work at any price. Are we truly aware of what represents an opportunity for us in the face of every cycle?
