Unlimit, the global financial infrastructure that drives the borderless agent economy, is transforming the way educational institutions manage student payments through its partnership with Mattilda, an edtech company that automates tuition collection and offers financing solutions. The collaboration with Unlimit supports Mattilda's goal of modernizing financial transactions that previously relied on traditional payment methods and legacy systems, migrating towards an operation based on smarter, more convenient, and scalable digital solutions.

Beyond offering digital payment processing - including debit and credit cards, installment payments, and recurring payments in Mexico, as well as the possibility of incorporating alternative payment methods based on SPEI - Unlimit provides Mattilda with high-performance financial infrastructure capable of supporting its long-term operation and expansion.

Through its partnership with Unlimit, Mattilda now has higher approval rates, advanced payment optimization strategies, robust fraud prevention and chargeback management tools, as well as greater visibility into its financial performance, with the ability to generate detailed reports by educational institution. Additionally, Unlimit creates a scalable foundation for Mattilda's international expansion, allowing it to enter new markets in Latin America that are already part of the company's growth plans, all through a single integration.

“By combining Mattilda's vision of transforming financial management in the education sector with Unlimit's global financial infrastructure and expertise, we are helping to create a more scalable, efficient, and seamless payment ecosystem for educational institutions, students, and families. This partnership lays the groundwork for Mattilda's continued growth in Latin America, while also providing a better experience for the institutions it serves,” explains Martina Selser, Head of Growth and Expansion, Americas at Unlimit.

“Our goal has always been to eliminate the complexity of school payments and create a more modern financial experience for educational institutions. With Unlimit's infrastructure, we have achieved improved approval rates, simplified operations, and gained the scalability needed to support our next stage of growth. This partnership not only strengthens our operation in Mexico but also prepares Mattilda for its expansion in Latin America,” says Adrián Garza, co-founder and Chief Growth Officer of Mattilda.

According to the Online Sales Study by AMVO, by 2025, 41% of surveyed consumers reported frequently purchasing products and services related to courses and education - between one and three times a month - while 11% stated they make these types of purchases weekly. The study reflects not only the growth of online education but also the increasing digitization of payments related to in-person education.
