Unlimit, a global fintech that offers the widest range of payment technology services, announced today that it has received the Payment Institution (IP) license granted by the Central Bank (BC). The authorization enhances the security of the company's operations in Brazil, which now meets additional regulatory requirements, in addition to allowing Unlimit to expand its offering of financial solutions, becoming even more competitive in the local market.
With the new license, Unlimit has the opportunity to connect directly to the Brazilian Payment System, being able to expand its Pix infrastructure with the development of local and more personalized solutions for its clients. Furthermore, the company will be able to bring to Brazil some of the global products it already offers in other countries, such as the multi-currency account, which allows payments in more than 30 currencies at a competitive exchange rate, and the issuance of white-label cards.
Currently, Unlimit already operates in Brazil as an acquirer, being directly connected with the main card brands, such as Visa, Mastercard, Elo, and Amex, in addition to offering local alternative payment methods such as Pix, Boleto, and digital wallets. The company also offers cross-border payments by enabling transactions with over 1,000 directly integrated payment methods, in 200 locations and in 150 currencies.
"This license is a significant milestone in Unlimit's continuous growth in the Brazilian market and reinforces our commitment to providing comprehensive financial solutions that eliminate borders and empower our clients with a complete and advantageous ecosystem. We are excited about the new opportunities and innovations that will be possible through this license, allowing us to further support merchants in their expansion in Brazil and around the world," says Kirill Eves, CEO and Founder of Unlimit.
Unlimit's certification further expands the offering of payment services in a rapidly growing e-commerce market. According to the Brazilian Electronic Commerce Association (ABComm), the e-commerce market is expected to grow by 15% this year, totaling R$ 234.9 billion in revenue and a total of 94 million online consumers.
The Payment Institution license granted to Unlimit was awarded with a share capital of R$ 46 million.
