This mixture between late breakfast and tempranero lunch on weekends was installed and became a highly sought-after alternative among young people. While this word arises from the union between the word breakfast (desayuno in English) and lunch (almuerzo in English) and usually serves between the hours of 11am to 13pm.
Usually, when in Buenos Aires we talk about brunch, we associate it more with a combination of more classic pastry, but in Togni’s they went beyond. This innovative proposal introduces us to a fusion of the most classic American breakfast along with an innovative pastry combining never-before imagined flavors.
It is worth noting that everything offered for the brunch is to elaborate on the part of Togni’s in an open kitchen where both communal and public passing through the streets can observe and try with the delights they have prepared.
The Brunch experience
When we visited the place both Saturdays and Sundays there are two hours of restaurants to book, 11:30 and 13:30, but the queues already start early. At the time to ask if the brunch has a prefijado menu in which it has an infusion (coffee/te), an orange juice or mandarin (sugir to taste), a sparkling rose and choose between a croissant or a millet au chocolat to start. Then you should choose between French toast, maple syrup, cream, frutilla and banana / French toasts, ovo poche, panceta, maple syrup and baked papines/ Tartine de brioche, ovo poche, smoked salmon, Dutch salsa and baked papines. In addition, we recommend testing the pistachio rolls, the almond and chocolate cookies, the brioche sucrée among others, since the kitchen boys are constantly creating new products.
We also recommend going hungry because you will try when you see all the rich things they have to offer.
