The Haunted House of Halloween in Mar del Plata: A Journey to the Beyond in the Pearl of the Atlantic

Mar del Plata, known for its coastal charm and vibrant nightlife, prepares this year to experience something different, filled with mystery and excitement. In the heart of the city, the legendary Villa Titito, also called the House of Ghosts, will become the epicenter of terror during Halloween 2025. This event, blending history, culture, and paranormal phenomena, promises to transport visitors to a universe where the supernatural intertwines with the architectural legacy of the city.

The history of Villa Titito begins in 1888, when Dr. Norberto “Titito” Fresco and his wife Delia Peralta Ramos built this imposing English-style mansion on the Loma de Santa Cecilia, unaware of the dark secret hidden beneath its grounds. Erected over the remains of Mar del Plata's first cemetery, the mansion soon became engulfed in tales of apparitions and inexplicable events. Declared a cultural heritage site in 1995, its architectural beauty coexists with an unsettling aura that fascinates both the curious and believers in the paranormal.

Over time, stories multiplied: visitors claiming to have seen silhouettes in the windows, heard children's laughter in empty rooms, or felt cold presences brushing against them in the dark. Entire families abandoned the place after experiencing phenomena that defied all rational explanations. Although it has been blessed more than once, Villa Titito maintains its reputation as one of the most mysterious corners of the country, a site where the boundary between the world of the living and that of the dead seems to blur.

This 2025, the Municipality of General Pueyrredón revives that atmosphere in an event that combines history and terror. From October 31 to November 2, the house will open its doors as a true Haunted House for Halloween, offering guided tours by costumed actors, recreations of local legends, and special effects that include fog, chilling sounds, and holographic projections. The activity is free and open to registration, available from 6:00 PM to midnight; for more information, visit the following link:

The Halloween House at Villa Titito not only rescues a forgotten part of marplatense history but also transforms it into an immersive experience that combines art, tourism, and tradition. Amid dim lights and echoes from the past, this event invites participants to experience fear through fascination, reminding us that behind every legend lies a fragment of truth. Halloween once again becomes the perfect moment to face the unknown... and enjoy it.
