"They summoned young leaders from across the country to build a healthier democracy."

Potencia Argentina, the organization that promotes inter-party dialogue among young leaders, held the second edition of its federal training and democratic building program. The initiative is part of Democracia+, the Latin American network of leadership schools present in seven countries, which seeks to strengthen leadership skills and competencies with a transformative purpose.

This year, 106 young people from all over the country were selected to participate in the program. The call managed to create a real federal map, with representatives from almost all provinces, diverse ages, and a plurality of political ideologies. “It is a multi-party process, eager to transform the reality in each represented community”, highlighted the organization.

Córdoba, the starting point

The First National Meeting took place from September 26 to 29 in Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba, “La Docta”, land of cuarteto and fernet. There, the participants and the Potencia Argentina team shared days of integration, training, and collective building. “It was the space where we met, began to build community, and laid the foundations of what we want to do together”, the participants pointed out.

A program with a future perspective

During October and November, the process continues with classes and virtual activities led by leaders and specialists in leadership, communication, future agenda, and technology applied to public management. These meetings will allow participants to strengthen their capabilities and work on community impact projects.

What’s next

The experience does not end there: in the first days of December, there will be a new face-to-face meeting to consolidate learnings, share progress, and continue nurturing the spirit of democratic transformation.

With this second edition, Potencia Argentina reaffirms its commitment to forming young leaders with a vocation for service, capable of dialoguing beyond differences and building together a healthier, more inclusive, and federal democracy.

"We understood that beyond a reference or a politician, there is a human being who may think differently, but we all pull in the same direction, and what we want is to make our country better."

"They were intense days, full of learning, self-knowledge, sensations, emotions, listening, sharing, and projecting. 106 people from all over the country working on each other, to strengthen the community we inhabit, build bridges, tear down walls, and create brotherhood."

"Very grateful to this community that allows for pause, reflection, flipping the board, challenging hostility and selfishness, betting on encounter and dialogue, on respect and the vocation for service."

Stefanía Bargardi @candystefania from the FinGurú team, was part of the second cohort of PA+ and expressed: “We may have differences in our paths, but the goal is common: to build a better Argentina. Beyond ideologies, we understood that radicals, Peronists, libertarians, and minorities are not that far from each other. We all share the same dreams, and the challenge is to learn to work with respect to achieve them.”
