Sharing after the discussion by thematic axes.
On October 29, Innovación Argentina (IA), a new ecosystem dedicated to bringing together leaders from the public and private sectors to tackle the challenges of innovation and technology in Argentina, launched its first initiative “Argentina Digital Country.”
Innovación Argentina is the result of the collaborative vision of the think tanks Idear, Colossus Lab, Politeia, Argentina Joven, and Reformar, hosted by Crecimiento Argentina. Together with these and more, it aims to consolidate an ecosystem with public and private actors to discuss, implement, and test challenges along with possible solutions for technological development in our country.
Particularly, the workshop laid the groundwork for diverse sectors such as companies, governments, universities, and civil organizations to converge towards true co-creation in the digital realm, aimed at development and common good objectives. This event seeks to generate synergies among sectors to break the isolation between the particular perspectives of each, which hinders superior solutions for the country.

During the day, attendees worked in five thematic tables: communication, infrastructure, investments, modernization of the state, education, and regulation. Each group identified key issues and proposed their conclusions and innovative solutions in a common sharing session with the other tables, which in turn contributed their constructive criticisms.
Regarding regulation, for example, it was concluded that there needs to be a strong direct participation from the private sector, understanding that not everything has to delve into deregulation, but also in the optimization of existing laws, while at the same time raising awareness among the general public to strengthen this process. When it comes to infrastructure, the intentions to further investigate how to support the national development of cutting-edge technologies, such as satellite technology or cybersecurity protections, which are essential for a country that frequently suffers from shortages in these areas, were made clear.
It is a reality that both in education and in the general communication of these topics, there is a generational gap to bridge; partly achieving school modernization, which can develop with a diversification of funding for it, with constant collaboration with the third sector and the private sector, or even with fundraising campaigns that help, among other things, to provide teacher training with adequate means.
The event concluded as a starting point for future meetings of this ecosystem, where the conclusions and diagnostics reached will be discussed in more detail, with the aim of continuing to advance in the realization of future solutions.
Modernization is an inevitable, fundamental, and necessary process for Argentina. That is why, the commitment of Innovación Argentina is to continue working together to make these ideas a reality and to build a more modern and innovative Argentina.
